Over the past couple of weeks, I feel like it's been coming to my mind again and again what a gift Asher is to Nam and me. And I mean "gift" in the truest sense of the word. Really...what have either of us ever done to deserve this little life who has changed our lives so much for the better? So, I've found myself being very grateful to God for blessing us with this huge, undeserved blessing.
Asher and I have been reading books a lot lately. He likes the pictures and I like the stories. haha. So we've been reading
Barnyard Dance, Dr. Suess
, The Little Engine That Could, Snow Day, etc. Today I read to him from
The Jesus Storybook Bible. We read the story about Abraham and Sarah being given a son, Isaac (same as Asher's middle name). This part struck me "They named him Isaac, which means `son of laughter.' And Sarah laughed. But this time it was a glorious, happy laugh. Her dream had come true. God would do as he had promised." Even though we have rough days, Asher and I, he also brings glorious, happy laughter way more often :)
